As a food reviewer for Foodjoyy, I’m particularly excited about the diverse offerings on the menu. Coco's Bistro has crafted a selection that ranges from fresh salads to savory entrees, which all speak to the artistry of their kitchen. Highlights include the Bourbon Street Salad with bourbon-glazed shrimp and mixed greens, a beautiful mix of textures and flavors for just $20. Those who lean towards heartier fare may indulge in specialties like the perfectly cooked ribeye or the renowned pork shoulder served with grits, both of which have garnered enthusiastic praise from patrons.
The beverages at Coco’s are equally impressive, featuring a curated selection of wines and craft beers available for pickup and delivery. One standout is the Jelly Jar Red Wine, a delightful Californian red that pairs beautifully with many menu items, priced at $38.
What makes Coco’s Bistro truly shine, though, are the heartfelt reviews from customers. “ Really impressed!! All the way around... great. Service was stellar. Food was really good and just enough. They made a small error with our order and completely owned. It took care of it and compensated us greatly for it. I will be eating here every single time I am in Dayton. ”
“ Great place to go to lunch in Dayton. Everyone enjoyed their entrees! The burger was a double patty with bacon and onions and aioli. Felt like it needed a bit of arugula or pickles or something to break up the meatiness 7.5/10. The grilled cheese and tomato soup was awesome 9/10! The two cocktails we tried were both very good like 10/10! The apple dessert thing was very good like 9-10/10. The chocolate cake was just ok maybe 6/10 it needed like a chocolate mousse or frosting or something since it was a bit dry/bland by itself. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were very clean and the atmosphere of the whole restaurant was very clean and comfortable but classy. I’m sure we’ll be back. ”
“ This was my first time at Cocos and it was great ! We went for restaurant week so we had the pre selected menu. The mushroom soup was delicious and the gumbo was great too. I didn’t care for the pear gallate but that’s me personally. The bread served with their butter was a great touch. The service and atmosphere was so nice. Can’t wait to go back again. ”
“ Can’t believe this adorable place just happens to be in Dayton, Ohio. The atmosphere is a whole vibe, including the decor and seating. The service was outstanding. I live in Atlanta, but somehow I’ve been to Coco’s twice in 5 months; the great service and fantastic food is no fluke. The food was also outstanding. Somebody in that kitchen is a chef, for sure. I got the pork shoulder with grits. It was magnificent. And they put warm focaccia bread on the table when you arrive. And I give their Brussels sprouts appetizer a 10 out of 10. Great portions. Great tasting food. I guess this is my place now whenever I’m in Dayton. ”
“ My wife and I went to Coco’s last night for our weekly date night and love it! I had been there prior for a work lunch and thought the atmosphere of the restaurant is exactly what my wife loves and it was! The place has a nice modern and clean feel about it. Definitely an upscale but causal feeling atmosphere! The food itself was also great! I had the ribeye which was a nice quality cut and cooked to exactly what I ask for. The only issue I had with it is it didn’t seemed very seasoned. It seemed to rely more of the glaze and butter it was served with. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, it just isn’t my preference for a steak but it was still good! My wife ordered the Salmon Frites and loved hers! Overall, it was a great place for a date night! We loved the atmosphere and enjoyed our experience from top to bottom! I wouldn’t hesitate to go back! ”
“ Had an early dinner at Cocos in the middle of the week and the food was fantastic. We had the brussels and shrimp for appetizers, and then the burger and steak for dinner and everything was great. The cocktails were spot on and the ambiance in the restaurant made for a pleasant experience overall. Will be back for sure! ”
“ Coco's Bistro was a delightful experience! The fried brie was crispy and creamy, while the steak frites were perfectly cooked and tender. The lobster mac and cheese was rich and indulgent, and the espresso cheesecake was a fantastic finish. The drinks complemented our meal well. Highly recommend for a cozy night out! ”
“ Fusion restaurant with a hip menu of unique salads, meats, and seafood. A great selection of apps and a changing menu of specialty drinks. Enjoyed chatting with the mixologist, Dierdre, who designed most of the cocktails and was doing double duty serving us! The Fred Rogers was fantastic, and be sure to try the "Rubella" dessert drink before it's gone! ”
